Japanese Government Scholarship
The Monbukagakusho (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) offers scholarships to students who wish to study at a Japanese Senshu-gakko or professional training school. The scholarship is for the duration of three years from April 2011 to March 2014 in which tuition and room and board costs are fully covered.
Selected applicants will study in one of the following areas:
- Civil Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Infant Education
- Secretarial Studies
- Hotel Management
- Fashion, Dressmaking
- Other fields
Eligibility and Criteria
- Candidates must be a high school graduate.
- Candidates are required to register for testing in Japanese, English and Math.
- Only Hawaii residents are eligible.
- Participants must be 17 - 21 years of age as of April 1, 2011 (i.e. born between 4/2/1989 and 4/1/1994).
