The main reasons for applying by the priority deadline are:
- Many need-based grants are awarded on a first come, first serve basis. Students who apply by April 1, receive priority consideration for these funds.
- Applying early and submitted all financial aid documents ensures that a student's fall 2013 schedule will not be purged for non-payment by the tuition payment deadline.
- Many outside scholarship applications require FAFSA results to be reported and have early spring deadlines.
Students can stop by OCET Room 104A on February 6th and receive assistance with completing their FAFSA. They also can grab a slice of pizza for getting "their slice of the (financial aid) pie!"
