Hawaii FoodBank Drive Happening Now at KCC!

In these unstable and difficult economic times we all may know someone who has not been able to purchase the basic necessities, sometimes relying on the gifts of others just to survive.

Now is the time to help our overburdened free resources keep up with the high demand and help save a family, child, or grandparent from going hungry.

University of Hawaii campuses, in partnership with the Hawaii Food Bank, is currently holding our annual Food Bank drive until April 26, 2013. There are two ways that you can donate: Monetary & Food.

Monetary Donations
We are accepting cash and checks (checks preferred)
Any amount is greatly appreciated!

Food Donations
Canned items such as meats, meals, vegetables, soups, fruits
Dry goods such as rice & cereal

Volunteers Needed
If you would like to volunteer at the "Drive Out Hunger on Kaua`i" event (flyer attached) on Saturday, April 20, 2013 please contact the Hawaii Food Bank directly at info@hawaiifoodbank.org.

T-Shirts
To get your 24th Annual Hawaii Foodbank Food Drive T-Shirt please order them directly at http://www.hawaiifoodbank.org/page10.aspx

The shirts will be shipped directly to you. Just remember to select "State of Hawaii" from the drop down menu and in the comments section type in the department/unit name that you are in so that it will get credit for the purchase.

Please bring all donations to the Chancellor's office by April 26, 2013. 

As an incentive, the top donor will receive a reserved parking space for 1 month in front of the One Stop Center! This prize is open to all Faculty, Staff, or Students that donate.
