Merit Scholarships are available for the Spring 2012 semester for students with exceptionally high cumulative grade point average (GPA).
ELIGIBILITY:
Be classified, new or continuing, enrolled half-time, resident student.
Earned and maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.5 or higher for first-time freshman and at least 3.70 or higher for continuing students.
Priority for awarding would be given to full-time continuing students seeking their first college degree with the highest cumulative GPAs at the end of fall and spring semesters up to the maximum allocation.
AMOUNT OF MERIT SCHOLARSHIP:
UH merit scholarships will cover Kauai CC tuition charges, fees must be paid by you. The tuition grant or scholarship award will be prorated to cover your actual enrollment level and in some cases the amount may be capped for all students. The maximum award amount will not exceed the residential rate charged for 12 credits.
PERIOD OF AWARD:
UH Merit Grants or Scholarships are awarded for one academic semester. Summer assistance may be awarded to need-based students based on available funds. You must reapply each semester for the UH Merit Scholarship.
