KPD-KCC Police Explorers Program

  • Learn about and train for a $50,000 a year job in Law Enforcement
  • Help your island and community
  • Be ready to pass the entry test when you are 20-1/2
  • Receive training in CPR, First Aid, Criminal Law, Weapons, Traffic Control, and other police subjects
  • Attend monthly training session on Saturdays
  • Work 8 hours a month at the police station
  • Earn the right to participate in Ride-Along with an officer
  • Do community service projects
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 16 through 20 years old
  • H.S. Graduate or H.S. Student with a C or better grade average
  • Desire to join a team and make a difference in the community
  • Willingness to be a team player
