Need Money for School? Attend the FAFSA Workshop (2/26)

The 12:05 Success Series, KCC Financial Aid Office, and Wai`ale`ale Project are partnering for a FAFSA Workshop on February 26, 2014 from 12:30-2:00 p.m. in the OCET Computer Lab, Room 104A.

The goal for this event is to increase financial aid awareness and the number of students who apply for financial aid using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by the priority deadline of April 1, 2014. Current students are welcome to attend.

The main reasons for applying by the priority deadline are:

• Many need-based grants are awarded on a first come, first serve basis. Students who apply by April 1, receive priority consideration for these funds. 
• Applying early and submitted all financial aid documents ensures that a student's fall 2014 schedule will not be purged for non-payment by the tuition payment deadline. 

Many outside scholarship applications require FAFSA results to be reported and have early spring deadlines.

Students can stop by OCET Room 104A on February 26th and receive assistance with completing their FAFSA. Students who are unable to make it to this workshop, but would still like assistance with completing the FAFSA are encouraged to call the Financial Aid Office at 245-8360 to schedule an appointment.
